Come and have a bit of fresh air and exercise after the Christmas day festivities...
Usual protocols apply but we'll need to keep an eye open for any Plan B+ that might come along.
If you have tested positive or are exhibiting symptoms of Covid, or feel unwell, you must not attend the ride.
Following the advice of our affiliated cycling organisation, whilst numbers attending a ride may be unlimited, individual ride groups will be limited to 15. In practice this should not be a problem for us.
PLEASE POST IF YOU ARE COMING and indicate if you are a non-member. Would potential ride leaders also post so we have you in the overall number.
AND
You are advised to wear face masks/coverings in crowded settings and be mindful that coronavirus is still endemic in the population, that the possibility of transmission still exists and that the virus can be contracted regardless of vaccination status. To this end we would ask that you continue to adhere to our amended guidelines to ensure we stay Covid safe:
Note club rides are available for people who self-regulate, ride leaders will not be policing the following but if you consistently breach them you may be asked to leave the ride. They are there for your safety and the safety of others.
• 2m spacing at all times during rides, extending to 4m if riding in front or behind someone.
• Each rider must carry a spare tube in case of a puncture or suitable kit if riding tubeless.
• Each rider must have disposable gloves and a face covering in case of having to attend to falls. Carrying hand sanitiser is also strongly recommended.
• Follow the ride leaders directions in case of a puncture/fall to ensure the minimum number of people are involved.
Thanks and have a great ride

I'll be there to lead a keen medium group. Route will be about 21 miles and has been tested and is rideable when wet.
Banter and jokes have also been tested and are as bad as ever.

Pen and Sue, we had expected to ride. However Linda's ebike is failing (battery no longer properly charges and hence battery-anxiety) and needs overal a good service.
Hopeful for future once we invest in a
replacement......otherwise it's Linda's old 26" giant!

I'm planning on turning up and am happy to work out a route for a faster group.
There's nothing worse than a reformed former derailleur owner..............

I will be at my daughter's house for Christmas Day lunch so it will be my turn for cooking duties on Boxing Day.
Have a great ride, stay warm and safe, and I will see you soon on a different ride.
Roger.

Hi guys and gals,
Just wanna say thanks for you support and patience.
Managed to Mike the 6.4 miles I needed to get home.
It would be great if someone can share that route we did as it was something I enjoyed.
I trust everyone else was safe and well. Have a happy Boxing Day.
