Linford Bottom Ride 20th February - CANCELLED

Post by IanTaylor » Fri Feb 11, 2022 12:28 pm

The next ride is from Linford Bottom w3w///wage.tango.safest

Whilst restrictions have been removed Covid is still endemic and can be contracted regardless of vaccination status, so we feel it is sensible to remain with our existing protocols.

PLEASE POST IF YOU ARE COMING and indicate if you are a non-member. Would potential ride leaders also post so we have you in the overall number.

If you have tested positive or are exhibiting symptoms of Covid, or feel unwell, you must not attend the ride.

AND

• Individual ride groups will be limited to 15
• 2m spacing at all times during rides, extending to 4m if riding in front or behind someone.
• Each rider must carry a spare tube in case of a puncture or suitable kit if riding tubeless.
• Each rider must have disposable gloves and a face covering in case of having to attend to falls.
• Carrying hand sanitiser is also strongly recommended.
• Follow the ride leaders directions in case of a puncture/fall to ensure the minimum number of people are involved.

Note club rides are available for people who self-regulate, ride leaders will not be policing the protocols but if you consistently breach them you may be asked to leave the ride. They are there for your safety and the safety of others.

Thanks and have a great ride

I'll be there......with my medium paced group leader's hat (helmet) on if need be.

Pen x

EDIT & UPDATE - In view of the weather forecast, the state of the ground, the debris on the trails and the lack of takers for a medium paced ride, I am going to STAND DOWN from leading (and probably even riding) tomorrow at Linford Bottom. Apologies. Have a great day!

Thanks Pen for update. I hadn’t confirmed for the medium but the weather has been so bad I’m going to leave it until next time.
Thanks

Looks like we have no leaders for the Lindford Bottom ride unless any of those who have booked on want to take on the leadership?

Post asap if this is the case otherwise ride canceled.

Hopefully, the weather will have improved for the next ride.....

Re: Linford Bottom Ride 20th February CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER WARNINGS

It has been decided to take down this ride for safety reasons due to recent storm damage in wooded areas, also due to a bad forecast for Sunday, and due to a marked reluctance of members venturing out.

Sorry to disappoint anyone but we do have a duty of care.
