Afternoon,
I hope my email finds you well.
At Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, we respond to some of the region’s most serious cycling incidents every year. Now, we’re inviting your club to join a challenge like no other – one that tests your limits while helping us save lives.
Introducing the Ride of Champions – our brand new 100-mile cycle challenge!
The Ride of Champions is calling all seasoned riders to take on an epic 100-mile journey through Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This is more than a challenge – it’s your chance to support our lifesaving crew as we aim to raise £3.6 million for our Operation Airbase appeal.
Why take part?
Extreme Endurance: Tackle a demanding route that will push even experienced cyclists to their limits.
Epic Terrain: Hampshire hills, coastal climbs, and the stunning Military Road – it’s all here.
Champion’s Glory: Ride alongside fellow elite cyclists for the title of Champion.
Lifesaving Impact: Every mile conquered supports the future of our air ambulance service.
(Includes event jersey, GPX/TCX files, ferry tickets, comfort stops, rider tracking, medal, route handbook, and mechanic support.)
The route:
Hampshire countryside to Southampton
Red Funnel ferry to the Isle of Wight
Isle of Wight coastal route via the Military Road
Ferry from Yarmouth to Lymington
Ride through the stunning New Forest
Return to Sparsholt College
(Please note: The total route shows 115 miles, but around 15.5 miles are ferry journeys.)
We’d love your club to join us. Whether as individuals or a team, this is a ride your members won’t forget.
Ready to ride for a cause? Let me know if you'd like to get involved or need anything further.
Thanks so much for your time and support.
Kind regards
Jill
